Someone needs to do something NOW about the foreclosure crisis. It's going to have to come from Washington. Just from my limited knowledge from being a recent buyer in the real estate market I have learned a few things. One of them being that it seems like the banking industry has caused this problem and now have put themselves in the real estate business. Question: Could there have been a conspiracy all along. Did they intentionally make 100% mortgages knowing that eventually the adjustable rates they sold would go up or was it a gamble that the housing industry would soar and make everything alright? Either way the housing industry has suffered. It's a nightmare trying to deal with Short sales and foreclosures. The banks in my opinion did this intentionally and they should be penalized someway.
